Disclaimer: Don't Try This At Home

I will be officially 8 months locked on June 10, 2008. Today I thought I try something new. I actually washed my hair as if it was loose. I mean I was swishing around, rubbing locks together, the hole 9. I have not B&B since December or January, and normally I would just squeeze my locks and gently scratch the scalp... but not today. I washed my hair using a $0.92 bottle of Suave Cucumber melon shampoo that I got from Walmart. I am running extremely low on my Knotty Boy Soap bar since there is two sets of locks to wash in the house. I purchased the bar back in November and I still have some left. However I need to place an order for another one A.S.A.P.

Needless to say, my hair came out just fine.

I love washing my hair without the braids and bands however I'm sure Istill should be B& B well at least the front. Your locks are so long and pretty!

Your locks are just lovely girl! I'm jealous of the no braiding and banding...

It's freeing to wash w/out braiding & banding but as for me, eventhough I have mature locks, I still need to band just to get the shampoo and water to reach the scalp. My hair is too thick and all over the place to wash freely.

I love your progress and I know it felt good to just rub the hell out of your scalp for once, I can't wait to do it.

I am soo lov'n your blog, however, I'm not interested in being lock'd, but I like how you've outlined the progress. I feel like I know a fellow blogger as well as a natural sistah in the area. Take care!!!

I love your progress and you must be drinking some growth hormones. Your hair has really grown. I really hate banding too. I only did it for the first month or so. Great Post!

Oh my gooderness! Your hair is long! I wonder when I won't have to braid and band another reason I hate washing my own locks!

Thank you ladies for the wonderful compliments. Shrinkage is a hell of a thing. My hair shrinks back up when it's dry. I do need to invest in another knotty boy soap bar ASAP!
