On a happier note, I just could not miss out on my daughters Girl Scout trip. I was still in a lot of pain on day one, but I got through it and did not want to miss that trip for the world. Her troop went to VA Beach. She had a blast as you can see from the pictures.
I also want to thank all the ladies that congratulated me on my new addition. That was very sweet of you all. Having sisterlocks has really made me apart of a true sisterhood.
Enjoy the pics of my baby and her braidlocks soaking up the summer fun!I also want to thank all the ladies that congratulated me on my new addition. That was very sweet of you all. Having sisterlocks has really made me apart of a true sisterhood.

Lakia,
Thank you for sharing the sad and good news. And you are right, God will not give you more than you can handle. Jen and I will be praying for peace with you and your family during this time of grief.
As for the Girl Scout trip, coming from a former Girl Scout, myself, I know you daughter will always remember your support of her endeavors. Many blessings and thanks for sharing.
I'm sorry for your lost. I know this was hard on the kids, I hope you and your family are coping okay.
Your daughter's hair is beautiful!
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Someone told me there is a book out there something like, "mommy started out with a baby but had an angel instead" as a way to explain it to the kids.
That's good you were such a trooper to still enjoy the precious gift of life that you already have!!
I'm so sorry to hear this. My thoughts are with you, your husband, and the children.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family.
The trip to D.C was really unexpected but hopefully before the summer ends I'll come back. I didn't know you were from D.C..
by the way your daughter is adorable!
Peace be with you and yours...here's thanking God for all the joy around you!
lakia, i'm sorry to hear of your loss. the most devastating sign ever. do they know how a 'blyted ovum' happens? i'll keep you and your family in my prayers.
your daughter is beautiful looking just like her mommy in her braidlocs =)
I'm sorry to hear that and I'm sure you already know that times get hard BUT God wouldn't put you through something he didn't think you could handle. Godbless and your in my prayers!
I'm sorry, hunny. He will not give you more than you can handle. Another will come to you in time, God willing. Keep your focus on your other babies, and the big baby too, and hopefully this setback won't last for long.
Mini-me is looking too cute these days with the braidlocks. Are there any problems with slippage? Are you using Knotty Boy? I would get the nappylocs tool and instructions tape for to retighten her (as I sign up for the $250 retite course...)
My condolences on your loss. May God continue to give you the strength you need. God Bless.
Thanks blog family. You gals are so supportive. A blighted ovum occurs when there is something wrong with the chromosomes of the egg or sperm. It's something that can not be prevented, and doesn't normally happen again.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God loves you and I know He will take care of you.
Peace,
MeDivine
I will keep you and your family in my prayers through this hard time. I know God will continue to help you through this.
You are definetly in my prayers...when you get a chance read Rev. 21: 3 and 4. Hopefully when it makes you smile, you'll feel the strength HE imparted unto you that makes you strong. You'll even get enough so that you can pass it on to the next person that may need a bit of your strength at a later time.
Be well.
Ah Lakia honey bunches I am so sorry for your loss. I am so late in reading this. Please charge it to my head and not my heart. You and your family are in my prayers. Believe me sweetie I know how you are feeling as I have experienced a miscarriage myself. God is ultimately in control and he will not give you more than you can bear.
Your daugther's hair is turning out so well. Congrats on doing that yourself. Get it girl!
OMG sorry that you had to go through that Lakia. With a new day comes new adventures. Sending you a hug.
Big hugs to you and your family. I'm just catching up on my blog reading and am very sad to hear of your news. I once heard someone say that God gives us more than we can bear so that we can remember to lean on him when we can't take it. I know that he is with you now and will continue to be with you everyday. Remember to trust in Him with all your might and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path.
I'm glad that you are making it through so well and that you have a supportive family to help you. May God bless and keep you and yours.
As a former Girl Scout, the memories that you and your daughter are creating are ones she will never forget. You will both treasure those moments forever.
I've not visited your blog in a while so missed this update. Don't have words to say except to join all my love with all the blogging family that love you and give you a big hug. Good to hear about your interviews and the girl scout day trip. God bless.
I've just experience a blighted ovum as well. It helped reading your experience. And the fact that u ended up preggers yrs later only shows that everything happens in HIS time:)
