Do you still love your hair?

I received this lovely Comment/ Question:

Finding your blog is a wonderful thing, I'm so excited and your hair is beautiful. I also have 3a,3b hair type and my hair is 14 inches long and the price I've been given is 600 is that to much? What size locs did you receive, micro, small, med or large? Do you still love your hair? I love your blog page, please fill me in?
Thank you for the lovely compliment. I am actually loving every minute of my hair. Like most others with sisterlocks or another type of locks, I can truly say that I wish I had done it sooner. Actually the price that you quoted sounds very very very good. Last year (2006) was when I had my first quote and consultation. I was told it would be $1,400. WWWHHHOOAAA. I did not let that discourage me, I knew that I had my heart set on sisterlocks and that I would somehow get them. I am glad that I did waited because I just love my consultant and I think she is great, she was a blessing and she didn't charge me $1,400 like the other one was. LOL!

My lock size varies. I have a combination of large, medium, and small. I have large locks around the hairline (which I am grateful for). The larger ones around my hairline will help with breakage, and I like the way they are holding up. I have 378 locks and head full of hair. I couldn't imagine have 600 + micro locks.

I hope this helps you out.

I love that your locs still look the same as they did when you got them installed. Are you still using Knotty Boy products? Ever tried Jamacian Mango and Lime? I've heard great things about it.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I have the Mango and Lime anti-itch spray... (somewhere). But I am still in love with my knotty boy. In fact can't wait to wash my hair this weekend.

Whoa, $600? She better make sure those won't be Step-Sisterlocks...

Great response...

As much as I would have loved to start out with 14 inches of hair I couldn't even imagine. Your first post says it took 3 days to install your Sisterlocks..WOW!!!

Nonetheless your Sisterlocks are gorgeous!!!

lakia- your hair always looks beautiful! to whoever asked you that question, i payed the same amount for 6 inches less hair so it sounds like a bargain to me!

Right now I have a little over 500 locs and started out with at least 14" of non-chemically treated hair. Depending on who is doing it and where you live $600 could be a great deal. Check with other consultants in the area. I have micro locs in the front and small in the back.

Thank you so much for visiting my blog. Your hair is awesome! I had eight inches before I went in August and I almost had a baby heart attack when I was told how much it would be. But, that was totally my fault. I loved my fro so much that I couldn't part with it. No matter how much it cost initially...I still feel like it was totally worth it. (Glad I saved once I started to research.lol) I think that your hair is beautiful. It feels so good to see other women embracing their beauty. It makes me smile. Keep that hair and yourself looking amazing. Get it gurl!!

-Much love. -Quee
