Big hair + Locks = JOY!!

This title comes from a comment posted by MeikMeika. THANKS! I often refer to my hair as a "lions mane". I do love the fullness, and my parts seem to be virtually completely gone. But I love it when my hair is freshly tighten. I am able to run my hands across my scalp with no problem. The appearance is also neat, and it feels 100% lighter. My hair is retightened every 6 weeks. I guess its the long wait that makes me miss my parts. However, I do love my big hair. In a couple of more days I will be coming across 5 months of being locked.

My hair is doing well. I am also being spotted for having sisterlocks more often, at first everyone was asking about my "small braids", and what type of hair did I use. LOL!!

I often look at the blogs of those who have mature locks and wonder if my hair will turn out like theirs.... Do you ever do the same?

Yup I do! I especially like Blaq's and Dewdrop's hair but I guess I'll just have to wait a few years and see what happens.

It's unnatural to not wonder and compare your locks to other people's. We all ask if our hair is going to look like so and so's. But then you soon find out the answer is no. It will look like your own hair and whatever that is, especially since the camera is so deceiving when it comes to thickness and texture.

I agree with Goodnapps. Although I try not to compare and secretly wish that my locks would look like others I do. However I'm getting better I've slowly come to realize that everyon's locks are unique! Which in reality is a great thing. It's something you can call your own! Just sit back and be patient soon enough you will see change. I'm almost 2 years and my locks are still transforming! Have a good one!

Your locks are stunning!!! The necklace is beautiful as well...

I prefer the appearance of my locks a couple weeks after a retightening, then the scalp isn't so visible. What I would give to have fuller hair...sigh...

I'm only about 3 weeks into the journey and I can't wait until my locks get long and pretty like yours! For now, I guess I just have to be patient.

Oh my god...your locs are beautiful..I have been coming to your blog since I found it....your hair is so shiny looking....do you put anything in it? Even though I don't believe you do but I still think you do....lol

I am newly SL'ed as of 3/2-3/08 and i am oh so loving it....I just started using water to freshen me up...I love the get up and go of this....no more products...but i did order me some tomoka twist and soft spikes...still want to get a brunsli...but I am working on that know. Also when was the 1st time that you B&Bed your SL's before your 1st retightening..I'm scared I don't want to have any slippage.

So many question and not enough space or time.

Check my blog out.....

Wow your hair has progressed quite a bit since I last peeked at your blog. It's amazing how we all look at other peoples locks to compare and hope. I do that all the time and wonder how it will be come maturity. Our hair is full of suprises and I'm sure we'll all grow hair into maturity that is wonderfully unique to us.

I've tagged you and hope you'll join in on the game rules:

1. link to the person that tagged you
2. post the rules on your blog
3. share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself
4. tag six random people at the end of your post by linking to their blogs
5. let each random person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog

Lakia do you plan on cutting off your ends? I don't think that I will until they look crazy over time. I have never had a perm so it is not as if I'm leaving permed ends, what do you think?

Your hair is lovely! I am glad I am not the only one suffering from the BIG HAIR syndrome. My husband always makes comments like it doesn't even look like you have locs from the front when it is pulled back. My hair sort of feels like an afro when I search for my scalp. LOL!

I don't really experience loc envy that much anymore. I do envy the length of others such as yourself. I hear a lot of women say they wanted their locs the same size as mine which always makes me smile.
